3:9, #503: Systematic Theology In Short

Back in 1980 when I got saved, I inherited a book mark in my Dad's Bible that said John 3:16 was the Greatest Verse in the Bible. Well, I wondered what the other 3:16s were and discovered the following:

John 3:16-18 is The Gospel, that which is God's power unto salvation for all who believe.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 covers Inspiration, Inerrancy, & Scriptural usefulness.
Matthew 3:16-17 points to The Trinity.
Mark 3:16-19 lists the Apostles, including Judas the betrayer.
Luke 3:16 identifies the Spirit/fire baptism.
Romans 3:16 is right in the middle of a discussion on Total Depravity.
1 Corinthians 3:16 lets us know we are the Temple of God these days.
2 Corinthians 3:16 declares both insight and freedom to those who turn to the Lord.
Galatians 3:16 reaffirms and defines the Abrahamic Covenant.
Ephesians 3:16 is part of Paul's prayer describing the Riches of being in Christ.
Philippians 3:16 exhorts us to continued sanctification.
Colossians 3:16 calls for intentional Bible study which, when crossed referenced with Ephesians 5:18ff indicates that's how to be 'filled with the Spirit' since they both produce the same results.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 is Paul's prayer for peace and the knowledge of its true origin.
1 Timothy 3:16 gives some details about 'the mystery of godliness.'
Hebrews 3:16 discusses the concept of true believers...the Invisible Church
James 3:16 documents the cause of evil among Christians
1Peter 3:16 clues us in on godly suffering
2Peter 3:16 defines some things about Scripture and what constitutes it
1John 3;16 defines Love.
Revelation 3:16 talks about lukewarm faith.
This is obviously not Calvin's Institutes, but it might spur you on to love and good works in 2010, to go for it, I say!!
