#8: Christmas Hebrew

Here's one tidbit I took away from four semesters of seminary Hebrew that I figured out many years ago: "Bethlehem" means 'house of bread" ("beth" & "lehem"). Jesus declared Himself to be the Bread of Life and was laid in a feed trough (manger). That seems like pretty close attention to details, if you ask me. Maybe you can rest easy about all the details of your own life if you follow His rule of Matthew 6:34, "Seek first His Kingdom and all its righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you." Oh, just as an afterthought..."Away In a Feed Trough" probably was not the songwriter John McFarland's, first choice for the Christmas carol. Got Hay, anyone?
