#4: Like Night and Day

There are morning people and night people. You know...the first wake up at the crack of dawn, the latter at the crack of noon or one. Well, there are Morning Christians and Night (mourning?) Christians. The first awakes at 4:51am like I did today and say, "Good morning, Lord." The latter drag themselves out of bed and say, "Good Lord, morning!" (That assumes they beat the noon wake up call, of course.)
We morning types also get to see God's Horizontal Rainbows...you folks call them sunrises. In Genesis 9:13 God set 'His bow' in the sky as a reminder that He would NEVER flush the human race down the drain with water again. If you read the next two verses carefully, the rainbow is a reminder to God, not that He needs one. We just get the benefit of the light show after a heavy rain or while watering the garden in the sunlight. Thinking outside of the box, I say that every clear morning we get to see a Horizontal Rainbow showing His faithfulness. On the other hand, if it's 'red sky at morning, sailor take warning' as Nanny used to tell me, you know bad weather is coming...one of those weather signs Jesus talks about in the Gospels.
Well, as part of the theme song of 'Firefly' says, 'you can't take the sky from me, since I found serenity!"
